Sodwana to Kosi Bay - 4 day Safari
A unique opportunity awaits you.

Come join us on a 4 day adventure as we discover Zululand from Sodwana Bay up to Kosi Bay.

Spend time in KwaZulu-Natal's’ playground as you explore Lake Sibaya, Mabibi, Black Rock, Banga Nek and Kosi Bay.
Arrival day: Accommodation provided in Sodwana Bay Lodge. Enjoy a Pizza evening as we all get to know one another.
Day 1: Breakfast: cereals. Depart from Sodwana Bay and travel north to 9 Mile Beach, over the dune to Lake Sibaya, where you might see hippo’s and crocodiles along the shore line for about 10km. This takes us to our first overnight stop at Mabibi Camp site. Here we will sleep in chopper tents, mattresses provided. This camp site with no electricity and hot and cold water showers. Riders cover a distance of approximately 32 km and need to provide their own snacks and drinks. Dinner provided: Potjie Kos, rice and salad.
Day 2: Breakfast: cereals. Leave for Black Rock while visiting a variety of beaches, like Rocktail Bay, Manzwengwenya, Lala Neck. Riders cover a distance of approximately 35 km and need to provide their own snacks and drinks. Accommodation is provided in Wendy Huts at Mqobela Camp. Bar facilities available, with fridges. Electricity provided by generator, with hot and cold showers. Dinner provided: Red meat braai, cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches and potatoes.
Day 3: Breakfast: cereals. Riders set of from Mqobela Camp to visit Black Rock. Other beaches along the way include Dog Point. Riders cover a distance of approximately 25 km and need to provide their own snacks and drinks. Accommodation is at Sizakala Camp with George and Betty at Bangha Neck. Dinner provided: Chicken braai and stir fry vegetables.
Day 4: Breakfast: cereals. This last leg is from Bangha Neck to Manguzi and takes riders through the Seatla River, Raffia palm and magnificent Yellow Wood forests, covering a distance of approximately 28km. Riders and horses are then transported back to Sodwana Bay, approximately 80km. Accommodation provided in Sodwana Bay Lodge. Supper at own expense. Various restaurants in the area.
Cost: R4000.00 per person

Not included: Snacks and Drinks, sleeping bags, pillows, toiletries, cool boxes, ice. Additional medical supplies are encouraged.

Very Important: All riders to be fit and experienced

General:
A support vehicle will be meeting us at various points along the ride and at our final destination every evening. Any other support vehicle which may transport family is not discouraged. Please contact Phillip regarding costs.
