Dive Charters

DAILY CHARTERS We run daily dive charters to all the reefs in Sodwana. Not only the main two-mile reef but also to the outer reefs where the splendours of five, seven and nine mile reef await you. Our skippers, who do first aid courses when they join us, are all highly experienced and will take you safely through the surf to the waiting reefs. We have specially selected casual Staff who will wash your dive gear.
	WHALE SHARKS & DOLPHINS Our boats regularly encounter whale sharks and dolphins. If they do the skipper will stop to let you look. If you are careful and don’t just try and grab it’s tail, you will even get to swim with these magnificent creatures. We can also take you on a boat ride especially to see them although we cannot guarantee you will see them every time.
OUR BOATS Our boats are all semi inflatable Gemini crusaders. Since October 2007, two of our boats are now powered by the eco-friendly 4 stroke Yamaha and the other boat is powered by two Yamaha 85 marine outboard motors bought in November 2006. We have two 6 metre and one 7 metre boat which take 10 divers plus a Divemaster or Instructor (and of course the skipper). They are serviced on a regular basis and are all in excellent condition. Emergency equipment is on hand and boats have contact with our beach control.
	ON THE BEACH We accommodate you on the beach with our spacious gazebo, our staff will carry your dive gear to and from the boat and we will supply you with a lollipop after your dive to take that salt taste away. If you have a problem getting your equipment from the beach car park, just let the beach controller know and we will collect your dive equipment from the beach car park.
BOOKINGS Our beach controller, juggles times, divers, destinations and boats, to ensure that divers are allocated the boats, times and dive sites they request. Dive schedules are planned every day. Bookings can be made at the beach, at our dive shop with Jo or Bee, in Sodwana Bay Lodge or by phone.
