The warm Indian Ocean currents of
the Mocambique channel wash onto the shores of Maputaland, a timeless
realm of astounding bio-diversity and beauty. Sodwana Bay is one of the world’s
top dive sites. The world’s southern-most coral reefs harbour over
1200 species of Coral Fish, Rays, Eels and Turtles while Whale sharks,
Dolphins, Sharks and Whales are common visitors. The Raggie Sharks and
Turtles are popular guests in the summer Here, on the relatively untouched eastern seaboard of southern Africa, lie wide lakes, golden beaches and towering dunes. |

In the Heart of
Maputaland, nestling behind the world’s highest vegetated sand dunes
about 5km from the sea, Sodwana Bay Lodge has been carefully designed to
match the rustic, eco-oriented nature of the region. All your needs are
catered for as you relax in the comfort of our refurbished twin bedded,
reed and thatch chalets. All have ensuite shower and toilet, selected
satellite DSTV channels and Telkom phone lines, ceiling fan and mosquito
nets; are serviced daily and include complimentary tea and coffee
facilities. Our chalets are
situated right in the heart of the Lodge’s diving and fishing centres
and are adjacent to Leatherbacks restaurant, pool and bar. Debbie Gunston is the
General Manager. Her appointment has lead to significant improvements
